Gerald began his career in investment management with Heseltine Moss before moving to Laing & Cruickshank in 1986, where he remained following the acquisition by UBS. He was a founding partner of Cheviot Asset Management, remaining with the firm following the merger with Quilter. Gerald was a founding partner of Vermeer Partners in 2019. He has managed portfolios for private clients, trusts, pension funds and charities for over 30 years. He graduated from the London School of Economics with a BSc in Economics & Geography and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment. Gerald is a Governor of Christ’s Hospital, a past Prime Warden of the Dyers Livery Company and a Trustee of several charities. Gerald joined the firm in July 2026 following W1M’s acquisition of Vermeer Partners.
